On Tuesday, April 11, Mayor Robert B. Mielke formally recognized and thanked individuals who are serving our community through the programs of the Corporation for National and Community Service. Pahua Moua, front right, has been working at United Way as part of the Volunteer Wisconsin AmeriCorps program since last fall. She has been a valuable part of the Volunteer Department at United Way Marathon County.
One of the objectives of the Americorps program is to provide valuable work experience that will help individuals find full time employment. Once Pahua's term with Americorp is complete, she will be joining the staff at United Way as an Information & Referral Specialist with 2-1-1.
