Since 1963, May has been designated as Older Americans Month, a time to celebrate the many and ongoing contributions of older adults to our communities and our nation. United Way RSVP is especially grateful for the more than 400 RSVP members who are helping build a better community through volunteer service!
On April 5, the RSVP program held their Recognition Luncheon, honoring the 51,000 hours donated by their members in 2016. The value of that volunteer service is estimated at $1.147 million. The volunteers in this photo were recognized for more than 500 hours of service to local organizations. A complete list of those honored and additional photos can be found on our website. Thank you to all of those that give of their time to build a stronger community for all of us.
