Power of the Purse Raises Record Amount

Women in Action's annual fundraiser, Power of the Purse, was held on May 1, with more than 230 people in attendance.  The event included silent auction tables, raffles and a special live auction featuring this year's "Kings of Pursonality" Brad Heinkel, Austin Solomon, Tim Van De Yacht, Chris Pfender, and Jeff Sargent. The "Kings" raised a total of $7250. The event raised more than $27,000 which will be used to support programs in our community that help women achieve self-sufficiency.
