United Way RSVP of Marathon County invites community members of all ages to attend the Community Coffee Hour on Wednesday, August 9 from 9:30 –10:30 a.m. at The Neighbors’ Place located at 745 Scott St. in Wausau. The Neighbors’ Place assists about 100 families a day.
This event will provide information on the many programs and services they provide. Most people are aware of the food pantry and its important role to help fight hunger in our community, but they do a lot more. Learn about the Furniture & Basic Needs Bank, Community Learning Center, Neighborhood Outreach and their Gardens. Find out about the volunteering opportunities available and enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of their facility.
The RSVP monthly Coffee Hour is provided to help our community learn about the work of our RSVP volunteer stations and volunteering opportunities while socializing over a cup of coffee, so invite a friend to join you.
