Imagine for a moment.... you have been looking for work and today you're offered a job! You are so excited to begin this next phase of your life, but there's one little problem. You need to have steel toed shoes before you can report to work. And, you just don't have the money to buy a pair. What do you do now??

Until last summer, there really weren't any options available. But, with the help of a few local businesses, Emerging Leaders' Career Closet was able to launch Boots to Work, providing steel toed work shoes so that people can start a new job. Boots to Work depends on donations of new and gently used footwear, and will use cash donations to purchase needed items. At this time there is a special need for women's steel toed shoes/boots. If you can help, with a donation of footwear or cash, please contact Tara at the United Way office.
