In response to increasing concerns related to personal safety, home security, fraud protection and related issues, United Way RSVP will host a “Safe Smart” program in cooperation with the Wausau Police and Fire Departments. Join us on Tuesday, January 30 from 9:30 — 11:00 am at the United Way office. This program will help you become informed on what you need to know about personal safety both at home and out in the community.
You’ll find out what you can do to be safer at home, learn how to protect yourself from fraud and other criminal activity. You’ll also find out about home fire and carbon monoxide prevention, along with being prepared for a disaster or other emergency. Learn about fire extinguishers and their proper use. There will also be time for your questions along with informational handout materials.
