If cleaning up the clutter in your life was one of your New Year resolutions, or even if it wasn't, cleaning your closet is always a good winter activity. But, what do you do with all of the clothing you no longer need? One option is the Emerging Leaders' Career Closet. In 2017, the Career Closet helped 323 people with clothing and footwear to find or start or a new job. They accept donations of new and gently used, work appropriate clothing for both men and women.
Currently, the most needed items are men and women's steel toed footwear, khaki & black slacks for both men and women, men's belts and shoes. Donations can be dropped at the Career Closet on Tuesdays from 3-5 p.m., Wednesdays from 11-1 p.m. and Thursdays from noon-2 p.m. During other times, donations can be delivered to the United Way office.
