The Housing and Homelessness Coalition conducted their bi-annual Point in Time Count during the overnight hours of July 25-26. Volunteers found a total of 24 individuals (18 singles, family of 4, and 1 couple) who were identified as being homeless and sleeping in places not meant for human habitation. That compares to an average of 7 individuals in previous July counts. On July 26 over 130 individuals experiencing challenges with housing were welcomed to Project Connect where they received a warm meal and were connected to local resources to prevent homelessness.
