Ten years ago, a small group of local women helped launch United Way Women in Action, dedicated to helping other women overcome barriers to self-sufficiency. Since that time Women in Action has raised and distributed more than $125,000 to local programs and services.
On October 1, Women in Action celebrated their 10 year anniversary with a volunteer service project and networking event. After sharing highlights from the past 10 years, it was announced that Women in Action is changing their name to WOMEN UNITED, and will continue their mission to lift up other women in our local community. Congratulations on 10 years of service and dedication.
