Meet Maria. Just a few years ago Maria was addicted to opioids. Her addiction was causing anxiety and depression and at times she used so much that she risked overdose. Since she frequently missed work, she had trouble paying her bills on time and was evicted from her apartment. When things looked the most bleak, Maria discovered a United Way funded treatment program and found help to battle her addiction. Over time she was able to get caught up on her bills, find a safe place to live and begin to put her life back together again. Your gift to United Way made it possible. Thank you!
