I continue to be amazed with United Way of Marathon County. As we’ve gone through the last few months, the staff and volunteers have remained focused on our mission to unite people and organizations in Marathon County, to build a stronger community and strategically invest in education, financial stability and health priorities to improve lives now and into the future. The staff has found ways to work remotely and still meet the needs of the community. During these unprecedented times, I was impressed at how the community came together to help those in need. We have teamed up with the Community Foundation and raised over $450,000 to help those disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. Our groups are meeting via video conference and audio conference to continue the important work and maintain safe working practices. Thank you to the entire team of staff and volunteers for making an impact in our community! I’m convinced that we will continue to work well and provide support where needed.
