21 Day Equity Challenge

Throughout our United Way network, we are engaging in on-going conversations about how we can become more equitable. We recognize there is a serious need for us as individuals and organizations to become well-versed in how people are marginalized and what we can do to dismantle all forms of oppression. As part of our commitment to helping our community in its capacity to use a race equity lens, United Way has created a #21DayRaceEquityChallenge.

General Info
We will host the challenge, starting September 14 and ending October 5, via newsletters. The newsletters will offer a series of articles, videos, and podcasts about race and equity for 21 consecutive weekdays. Each challenge will be designed to develop your personal equity lens and will take you no more than 15 minutes a day (unless you choose to do more!). United Way has provided a surplus of information for you to be able to go through and find content that is interesting to you, and hopefully will spark your interest to maintain the challenge for all 21 days. The series has also taken into consideration different learning methods. For some, you may learn best by reading. For others, we know that you may learn better by listening. And lastly, you may learn best by watching videos. At the conclusion of the series we will host a listening and feedback session for those interested in participating.

To sign up for the 21-Day Equity Challenge you can register here: Challenge.  If you have any questions, please contact Tara Glodowski at tglodowski@unitedwaymc.org.
