Donate new or gently used children’s books to United Way of Marathon County's Book Drive! Books can also be donated directly to United Way of Marathon County during June 8 - 9, 2021. The most needed books are board books for early readers age 0-3.
Education is the foundation for individual and community success. Research shows learning and brain development occur at the greatest rate between birth and three years of age. Ready to Read is a United Way project to encourage and increase reading to and with babies and young children. This program provides new and gently used books to children, agencies and throughout the community. *If your program or agency is interested in receiving books, please contact Krista Mischo, at kmischo@unitedwaymc.org with the number of boxes of books you would like and best delivery day/time during the week of June 21-25. Volunteers would deliver boxes of books during Week of Action.*
