United Way Campaign

Main imageEvery day United Way of Marathon County responds to our community. Every person who donates, volunteers or works here plays a role in helping others. Our goal is to unite people and organizations in Marathon County to build a stronger community by strategically investing in health, education and financial stability. These past several months we have stepped up and looked for innovative ways to support our community and increase efforts to support families in need during difficult times.

Our Campaign looks different this year. We’ve all been experiencing the challenges caused by COVID-19. Employees are working from home, kids finished the school year virtually and many people are having video conferences calls to do their work. During times like these our efforts are more critical than ever.

Thank you for your support.

Youth Partnership

Main imageUnited Way Partnership for Youth is proud to present: Helping our Young People Navigate 2020, With Dr. John Duffy at this year's WIRED Conference.

The world our youth are navigating now is so radically different than it was even a few months ago. Our kids are psychologically and emotionally burdened by the new unknown, social media, unreasonable academic and social stressors, and an unprecedented stream of information. They are exposed to the harshest elements of the world much too soon, as early as 7, 8 or 9-years-old.

Dr. John Duffy will overview the issues and challenges you may face with your students, children, teens and young adults. In their complicated world inundated with stimuli, all of the stressors, and their identity traffic, our youth need some compass. Dr. Duffy will help you become that compass during a deep Q&A session to help you get some much-desired answers to your most pertinent questions regarding today’s youth.

Those interested can participate in this FREE virtual offering via the WIRED Conference. You do not need to attend other sessions but are welcome to register and participate in other elements of WIRED if you are interested.
