During the peak season, the Hunger Coalition can collect upwards of 500 pounds of produce from the Farmers Market each week. You can help sort this produce and get it ready for Market shoppers at The Neighbors’ Place.
A few things to note:
• When you arrive at the Community Partners Campus at 7am, please feel free to park in the main lot and enter through the front doors. United Way staff will be ready for you!
• Plan to dress comfortably and be aware that your clothes and shoes are likely to get slightly dirty and/or wet.
• You can expect to spend 1.5-2 hours sorting and arranging produce, and we will also give you some information about the program and other work the Marathon County Hunger Coalition does to fight food insecurity in our community.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, and thanks again for your willingness to help us lift 10,000 community members to financial stability by 2033!
