Farmers Market Gleaning

Ideal for teams of 3-5

United Way staff will help set up your team with a table at the Wausau Farmers Market. You will help collect food donations from market shoppers, as well as farmers who may have leftover produce that they did not sell. The food collected is then taken to The Neighbors' Place to be sorted and offered to their Market guests.

A few things to note:

  • You will be paired with a Hunger Coalition volunteer who will help provide instruction day of. Look for the Hunger Coalition flag and table located near the center of the market!
  • We plan to be at the market in most weather conditions - please plan accordingly! Don't forget sunscreen!
  • You may wish to bring a chair from home, as they will not be provided.
