Some of the best holiday memories are made in the kitchen.

Decorating cookies with grandparents. Sneaking sprinkles when no one is looking. Gathering around the table to create something together.

For many families, however, holiday extras like baking supplies simply don't fit within an already-stretched budget.

Uniting for the Holidays helps local families create meaningful holiday memories by providing Holiday Sugar Cookie Kits filled with both the ingredients and tools needed for a family cookie decorating activity.

We encourage workplaces, families, friend groups, faith communities, and civic organizations to assemble one or more complete kits. Hosting a collection drive is a great way to gather supplies, but assembled kits are strongly preferred as they help us distribute resources more efficiently and ensure every family receives the same experience.

Don't have time to shop? You can also purchase items directly from our Amazon Wish List and have them shipped to United Way.

Required Items

  • 1 Reusable Shopping Bag
  • 2 Sugar Cookie Mix 
  • 1 Tub Vanilla Frosting (12–16 oz)
  • 1 Container Holiday Sprinkles
  • 1 Cookie Sheet
  • 1 Silicone Spatula
  • 1 Pair of Oven Mitts
  • 1 Kitchen Towel Set (2-4 Towels)

Important Notes

• Please include all required items.
• Please package all items together in a reusable shopping bag.
• Holiday-themed bags are welcome but not required.
• If your group collects enough supplies for multiple kits, please assemble multiple complete kits rather than adding extra items to one bag.
• United Way may redistribute items as needed to ensure every family receives a complete kit.
• All food items must be unopened and within their expiration dates.
• Gift cards will not be accepted.
