ALICE, an acronym for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, lives in every community in our state, and across the country. United Way of Wisconsin, along with local United Way's commissioned an ALICE report for the state of Wisconsin. This data driven report, produced by United Way of New Jersey in conjunction with Rutgers University, finds that 42% of households in the state don't earn enough income to meet the needs in a survival budget. In Marathon County, that number is slightly less at 41%.
On October 18, Charlene Mouille, United Way of Wisconsin, will be in Wausau to share the findings of the report. Learn more and register for the event today.
