Ready to Read Bookshelf Project Launced

IMG_3354.JPGOver the last few months volunteers have been building and painting bookshelves to be placed in local non-profits and organizations that serve families with young children. More than a dozen companies held book drives to fill the shelves, and over 80 volunteers helped to clean, sort and label the books. Recently the shelves were delivered and filled with books. The goal of the project is to provide free books for young children to take home, read and keep. If you are interested in learning how you can donate books or hold a book drive, please contact Krista at United Way Volunteer Connection.
