Plan to attend the RSVP Coffee Hour at the Wausau School District Longfellow Administration Center, 415 Seymour Street, Wausau, on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. This is an opportunity to learn about volunteering with the Wausau School District in their reading tutor program, be a “lunch buddy” and other volunteer areas which many RSVP members find to be such a rewarding experience. You’ll also learn about tutoring in the After School Homework Club at Weston Elementary School and the United Way Reading Buddy Program at Mosinee and Marathon Schools.
During the last school year, 26 RSVP Volunteers were involved in reading, tutoring and mentoring activities that helped 137 children achieve improved academic performance! You can make a positive difference in the life of a child.
