In spring of 2020, United Way Retire United received a $5,000 grant from the Wausau Noon Kiwanis and a matching donation from an anonymous donor to purchase and distribute food for rural Marathon County School children. Because of the pandemic and safety concerns for in-person volunteering, the project was put on hold. Now, this generous donation will be put to use in collaboration with SMACK Hunger/Emerging Leaders and children will receive food packs. We are so grateful for the Wausau Noon Kiwanis and Retire United Volunteers.
