Dear
United Way of Marathon County’s RSVP Program project regrettably announces the discontinuation of project activities in Marathon County.
We, the sponsoring organization of this project, have relinquished the RSVP Program, grant effective August 31, 2023. Your last day of service will be August 31, 2023.
In order to keep the RSVP Program in Marathon County, the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency responsible for administering the RSVP Program, intends to put the opportunity in their next competition, pending appropriation.
The RSVP Program staff and I greatly appreciate your service as an RSVP volunteer. Your service made a positive difference in our community, and we hope that you have also realized many personal benefits by serving others. It is our sincere hope that you will continue to enrich the community through volunteer service.
Our decision does not impact your ability to volunteer at your current volunteer station. You are still needed in our community. Continue to volunteer as you have been doing. Contact your current station if you have any questions about your volunteer service.
