Recognition Luncheon on January 29

Bundles of Joy Gift Wrapping

Gift WrappingThank you to all the shoppers who brought more than 1,430 gifts to the gift wrap center at the Wausau Center Mall! Between November 29 - December 24, over 300 wonderful volunteers donated more than 600 hours during a busy holiday season. One hundred percent of proceeds go to purchase diapers that are distributed to ten local agencies that primarily serve children and families. Since 2007 the program has been an emergency support for families in Marathon County.

If you missed out on volunteering but are still wondering how you can help, monetary donations can be sent to United Way BOJ Program at 705 S. 24th Ave Suite #400B, Wausau, WI 54401 or donate online. A donation of $23 will provide a child with a weeks’ worth of diapers.

Thanks again, this project would not be possible without the continued support of our community!

Turkey Trot Sets New Record

Turkey TrotIt was a record-breaking year for the 10th annual Eastbay Turkey Trot which raised $60,578 for the Marathon County Hunger Coalition! More than 1,900 runners participated in the annual Thanksgiving Day race and 2,894lbs of food were donated. Funds raised by Eastbay’s Turkey Trot help the Marathon County Hunger Coalition make bulk food purchases to ensure that local food pantries are stocked throughout the entire year, which meets a critical need in the community.

Thank you to everyone who ran, volunteered, sponsored or in any way supported the Eastbay Turkey Trot!
